Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif returned to Lahore on Saturday after a long foreign tour that included stops in the UAE, UK, US, and Europe. Maryam, who had been away since November 7 for medical check-ups and other engagements, arrived on a special aircraft. Nawaz Sharif had been abroad since October 25, completing his overseas commitments.

Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif dismissed the upcoming PTI protest rally, asserting it would fail to disrupt Pakistan’s progress. He criticized Imran Khan’s tenure, claiming it brought disrepute to the country and failed to deliver any meaningful development projects. Nawaz expressed confidence that Pakistan is on the path to prosperity, despite ongoing obstacles.
