Pat Cummins Says No Indian Cricketer Fits Australia’s Team

Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins, Australia’s Test captain, caused a stir with his blunt response to a question about Indian players ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. When asked by Fox Cricket which Indian cricketer he would include in Australia’s lineup, Cummins firmly replied, “No one.”

His statement surprised cricket fans and stood out as other Australian players shared contrasting views. Spinner Nathan Lyon highlighted Virat Kohli’s dominance in the top order, calling him an asset to any batting lineup. “Having Smith, Marnus, and Virat in the top order would be incredible,” Lyon commented.

All-rounder Mitchell Marsh chose Rishabh Pant, praising his attacking style and leadership skills during their time together at Delhi Capitals. Similarly, Travis Head picked Rohit Sharma for his aggressive approach at the top of the order, calling him a perfect fit for an attacking strategy.

Bowler Scott Boland leaned toward Jasprit Bumrah, commending his versatility and status as one of the world’s best pacers. “He’s a true three-format player,” Boland noted. Despite Cummins’ remark, the diverse responses from his teammates sparked further debates among cricket enthusiasts.
