Former Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq has opened up about the reasons behind actress and dancer Deedar rejecting his marriage proposal. In a heartfelt interview, Razzaq shared the emotional and cultural factors that led to the end of their brief relationship.
Razzaq, who debuted for Pakistan in 1996 and was part of the 2009 ICC World T20-winning team, explained that he and Deedar had developed a strong bond, which eventually turned into a serious relationship. Coming from a conservative family, Razzaq expressed that he couldn’t accept Deedar’s career in the entertainment industry. He asked her to leave her profession, knowing that his family wouldn’t approve. Despite giving her six months to reconsider, Deedar couldn’t leave her career, which led to their breakup. Razzaq acknowledged that while love was present, cultural differences made it hard to move forward. He held no ill will towards Deedar.
Deedar confirmed their amicable separation, stating that while the relationship didn’t work out, she still held Abdul Razzaq in the highest regard. Razzaq, now happily married with children, reflected on their relationship with mutual respect and no hard feelings.
