Major Blow for Pakistan Ahead of Third ODI Against Zimbabwe

Pakistan’s cricket team has been hit with a setback as fast bowlers Ahmed Daniyal and Shahnawaz Dahani have been ruled out of the ongoing ODI series against Zimbabwe due to injuries. Both players sustained injuries during a training session on Sunday, with Daniyal suffering a hamstring injury and Dahani injuring his left ankle. After scans and clinical evaluations, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided that they would return to Lahore for rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy.

In their place, the PCB has called up fast bowlers Abbas Afridi and Jahandad Khan, who are set to join the squad in Bulawayo ahead of the third and final ODI of the series, scheduled for Thursday, November 28. Both Afridi and Jahandad are also part of Pakistan’s squad for the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe, slated to take place on December 1, 3, and 5 in Bulawayo. Additionally, Aamir Jamal, who has already played in the ODI series, has been named as Daniyal’s replacement in the T20I squad.
