WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature in its beta update for Android (version 2.24.25.7) that lets users share and follow channels through QR codes. This simplifies the process of discovering and joining channels by eliminating the need to copy and paste links.
Channel owners can now generate unique QR codes for their channels and share them digitally or physically through flyers, posters, or even product packaging. Users can scan these QR codes and join channels instantly with a single tap.

This feature is particularly useful for businesses aiming to promote channels during face-to-face interactions or through offline marketing. The option to create QR codes is available in the channel’s sharing menu and can be used across various platforms.
Currently available to select beta testers, the feature is expected to roll out to a wider audience soon. WhatsApp is also testing other tools like sticker pack sharing and cross-device contact management to enhance user experience further.
