At least 32 people have died in a tragic bus crash in southeastern Brazil, with the death toll potentially rising. The accident occurred in Minas Gerais state on Saturday, involving a bus traveling from Sao Paulo. Officials have confirmed that between 32 and 35 people are dead, although the exact number remains unclear due to the condition of the bodies.
The crash took place near the town of Lajinha, with initial reports suggesting that a blown tire caused the driver to lose control, leading to a collision with a truck. Later, witnesses indicated that a granite block may have fallen onto the bus in a landslide, causing the collision and the subsequent fire.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the flames after hours of work and recovered 22 charred bodies from the wreckage. Thirteen survivors were rescued and are receiving medical treatment. The fire department stated that the full scale of the disaster is still being assessed, with more victims possibly remaining in the wreckage.
A crane is expected to be used to clear the debris as authorities continue their recovery efforts.
