South Africa’s captain, Temba Bavuma, won the toss and chose to field in the third ODI against Pakistan at The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.
Despite Pakistan’s unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, they aimed to end on a high note ahead of the two-match Test series starting December 26.

In team changes, Hasnain Sufiyan and Tayyab Tahir joined Pakistan’s squad, while Haris and Abrar were ruled out.
Earlier, Pakistan secured the series with an 81-run victory in the second ODI. Shaheen Afridi starred with a match-winning spell of 4/48, supported by Naseem Shah (3/34) and Abrar Ahmed (2/53). South Africa fell short of the 330-run target despite Heinrich Klaasen’s valiant 97.
Kamran Ghulam’s explosive 63 off 32 balls earned him Player of the Match as Pakistan posted 329/7, with key contributions from Babar Azam (73) and Mohammad Rizwan (51).
