Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has firmly rejected the recent US sanctions imposed on Pakistan’s missile program, emphasizing that the country’s nuclear and missile capabilities are solely for defensive purposes. Speaking at a federal cabinet meeting, he stated that there would be no compromise on Pakistan’s missile program, which he called essential for the security of the nation.

The Prime Minister expressed strong disapproval of the sanctions imposed on Pakistan’s National Defense Complex and other related entities, asserting that there is no legitimate justification for these actions. He clarified that the country’s nuclear program belongs to the people of Pakistan, not to any political party, and it remains a national priority.

Regarding political developments, the Prime Minister noted that a negotiating committee has been formed following a meeting with PTI, and discussions are set to continue on January 2.
