Legendary Producer Sarwar Bhatti of 'Maula Jatt' Passes Away

Legendary Pakistani film producer Sarwar Bhatti, celebrated for the 1979 blockbuster Maula Jatt, has passed away.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed by his daughter through a heartfelt social media post.

“It is with immense sorrow that I share the tragic news of my beloved father, Muhammad Sarwar Bhatti, the renowned producer of Pakistan’s iconic Maula Jatt, passing away a short while ago,” she wrote, requesting prayers for her late father and the family during this challenging time.

According to reports, Bhatti experienced breathing difficulties late at night and suffered a heart attack. Despite being rushed to the hospital, medical efforts could not save him.

His funeral prayers will be held after the Isha prayer at Lahore’s Data Darbar, as confirmed by his family.

The news of Bhatti’s passing has deeply affected the film industry. Relatives and colleagues have expressed their sorrow and paid homage to his significant contributions to Pakistani cinema.

Sarwar Bhatti remains a towering figure in the industry, with Maula Jatt standing as a timeless classic and a cornerstone of the country’s cinematic legacy.
