Ihsanullah Withdraws Retirement Decision After Emotional Reaction

Ihsanullah

Ihsanullah, who had previously announced his retirement from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) after being snubbed in the HBL PSL 10 draft, has now retracted his decision. The young fast bowler acknowledged that his earlier announcement was a result of an emotional reaction.

“I had hoped that a team would pick me, but when that didn’t happen, I was emotionally charged. Many fans, friends, and supporters reached out with kind messages, which made me reconsider my earlier decision,” Ihsanullah shared in an interview.

The 21-year-old pacer clarified that he is withdrawing his retirement and is committed to working hard in the coming months. “I will train for the next four months and prove to those who overlooked me that I deserve a spot in the team,” he added.

Earlier, Ihsanullah had expressed his frustration, stating, “I’ve decided to retire from the PSL. I don’t want to play franchise cricket anymore. It’s over for me after today. My goal now is to represent Pakistan through domestic cricket, not through the PSL.”

Ihsanullah’s decision to withdraw his retirement marks a turning point, as he remains determined to earn a place in future PSL seasons.
