Pakistan’s opening batter Fakhar Zaman has identified several key players from the Indian cricket team who he believes will play crucial roles in the upcoming Champions Trophy. Speaking at an online press conference, Fakhar highlighted the importance of players like Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma for India’s success in the tournament.
Fakhar also shared his thoughts on the changing nature of the pitches in Dubai, noting that they are no longer as slow as they once were. He stressed the importance of varying pitch conditions, explaining that flat wickets might not always be the best choice. “Every player at the international level is a match-winner, and they play for the team,” he said.

Reflecting on his own preparations, Fakhar mentioned his good form in the ILT20 and domestic matches. He expressed confidence in his fitness, sharing that he is fully ready for the Champions Trophy. Despite the intense rivalry, Fakhar emphasized that the pressure on big players who are out of form can often lead to external issues. “People tend to create more issues when big players are out of form,” he added, reinforcing the importance of staying focused during international competitions.
