Two senior Iranian Supreme Court judges, Mohammad Moghiseh and Ali Razini, were fatally shot inside the Supreme Court in Tehran on Saturday.

The attacker, who also injured a bodyguard, opened fire before taking his own life. Both judges had handled sensitive cases involving espionage and terrorism, sparking speculation that their work may have been a motive.
Judiciary spokesperson Asghar Jahangir suggested external adversaries could be behind the attack, citing tensions over recent efforts to identify spies and terrorist groups.
