CapCut Suspends Services in U.S. Amid TikTok Ban

CapCut

CapCut, a popular video editing app owned by ByteDance, has ceased operations in the United States following the enforcement of a law targeting ByteDance’s ownership of TikTok.

The law, which required ByteDance to divest TikTok by January 19, 2025, has led to a nationwide ban after the company declined to sell the app. CapCut’s landing page now states the service is unavailable due to the new legislation.
