Pakistani cricketer Shadab Khan has finally spoken out regarding the allegations made by TikTok star Shahtaj Khan, who claimed to have been in contact with him for months through WhatsApp and Instagram. The controversy, which began in September 2024, gained widespread attention after Shahtaj revealed her supposed connection with Shadab, who married Saqlain Mushtaq’s daughter in January 2023.
Shadab recently addressed the matter during an appearance on a comedy show, where the host asked him about the truth behind actresses alleging that cricketers message them. In response, Shadab said, “Even if they do, what’s wrong with it? If you don’t like it, don’t answer, ignore it.” He further added that if someone responds, it indicates they are interested in the conversation, downplaying the claims made by Shahtaj.

The all-rounder emphasized that such rumors, especially during cricket tournaments, are often exaggerated. “There’s nothing like what’s being claimed. These things are often said to gain fame,” Shadab remarked, revealing that cricketers often laugh about these rumors amongst themselves.
The controversy deepened when Shahtaj Khan appeared on a show hosted by Mathira, where she shared her admiration for Shadab and disclosed how she traveled to Lahore to watch his matches. She also expressed her disappointment upon hearing of Shadab’s marriage, claiming it affected her emotionally. Following his marriage, Shahtaj reportedly criticized Shadab during a private conversation with friends, which was leaked, leading to further online reactions from Shadab’s fans.
