Spinner Jomel Warrican claimed five wickets as the West Indies secured a remarkable 120-run victory over Pakistan in the second Test in Multan, leveling the series 1-1. This win marks the West Indies’ first Test triumph in Pakistan since 1990.

Warrican ended with match figures of 9 wickets, alongside a crucial 36 not out in the first innings, earning him both Player of the Match and Player of the Series honors. “To come here and do it as a young group is incredible,” said West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite, praising Warrican’s all-round performance.

Chasing 254, Pakistan was bundled out for 133, with Babar Azam’s 31 being the top score. Warrican and Gudakesh Motie dismantled the batting lineup, sealing the West Indies’ memorable win.

Pakistan captain Shan Masood admitted to missed opportunities, particularly failing to capitalize on strong positions. “Just one bad performance led to a domino effect,” he said, emphasizing the need for proactive partnerships to succeed in challenging conditions.

The defeat leaves Pakistan at the bottom of the World Test Championship standings, while the West Indies finish eighth.
