Haider Ali’s explosive batting in a thrilling Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match led Chattogram Kings to a stunning victory over Rangpur Riders. Chasing a challenging target, Haider hit four consecutive sixes off four balls, propelling his team from near defeat to an improbable win.
In the 37th match of the BPL, the Rangpur Riders batted first after losing the toss, struggling early with key wickets falling in quick succession. Shoriful Islam and Khaled Ahmed’s early breakthroughs put the Kings on top, with the Riders reeling at 68-5. Iftikhar Ahmed and Mehidy Hasan helped rebuild the innings, with Iftikhar’s 65 not out guiding the Riders to a competitive 143 runs.

Chasing the target, the Kings faced an early setback, but Parvez Hossain Emon’s solid 41-run contribution steadied the chase. However, it was Haider Ali’s match-winning knock of 48 runs off 18 balls that stole the show. His blistering performance, including four consecutive sixes, sealed the Kings’ 5-wicket victory with 14 balls to spare.
Despite early breakthroughs from Rangpur Riders, their bowlers failed to contain Haider, and the Kings cruised to victory in a thrilling encounter.
