Telstra Health and RMIT University have developed an AI-powered tool to predict health risks like falls, depression, and mortality in aged care facilities.

The tool, which won the 2024 Research Australia Digital & Data Health Innovation Award, analyzes electronic patient records using advanced machine learning and NLP. It assists nursing staff by generating predictive alerts, reducing workload and improving care quality.
Currently being rolled out in aged care homes, the tool has the potential for expansion into hospitals and other healthcare settings.
