PCB Appoints First Female Operations Manager for Men’s Cricket Team

In a historic move, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Hina Munawar as the first-ever female operations manager for the national men’s cricket team. With a strong background in security and operations, Hina, an experienced officer from the Pakistan Police Service, will manage the team during the upcoming Champions Trophy and Tri-Nation Series in Karachi.

Hina Munawar has a distinguished career in law enforcement, having served in various high-profile roles, including the Frontier Constabulary in Swat. Her appointment is a significant step forward, as she will be overseeing team operations and ensuring smooth communication between players and the PCB.

In addition to her duties with the men’s team, Hina previously managed the Pakistan Women’s Under-19 squad during the Asia Cup. Her experience and expertise have been highly regarded, and it is believed that PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi brought her on board via deputation.

While veteran bureaucrat Naveed Akram Cheema continues to serve as the official team manager, Hina’s role will focus on operational improvements and coordination ahead of the highly anticipated tournaments starting on 19 February.
