A tragic incident occurred at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Lahore when a woman, identified as Saima, reportedly took her own life by jumping from the second floor of the hospital building. According to local media, Saima, an employee of the Bank of Punjab, was found with her employee card among her belongings.
She was not a patient at the hospital and eyewitnesses reported seeing her leap from a second-floor window. Saima, a mother to a 12-year-old boy, had been separated from her husband and was battling mental health struggles.

Her family confirmed that she had a history of mental health issues and had previously attempted suicide. The tragedy shocked hospital staff, as her son was present at the facility at the time of the incident.

Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the suicide, with Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique ordering a probe. A committee led by the Vice Chancellor and MS has been formed to investigate further.
