The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration unit recently conducted a successful operation at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, leading to the arrest of a passenger attempting to travel abroad using forged documents.
The individual, Adnan Haider Bhatti, was found to be in possession of a counterfeit Polish residence permit while preparing to board a flight to Poland.

Upon scrutiny by FIA officials, the fraudulent nature of the residence card was immediately identified, prompting Bhatti’s arrest.
This operation is part of FIA’s ongoing efforts to combat the use of fake documentation for illegal immigration purposes, which continues to be a serious issue at international borders. The suspect has been handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further investigation and legal action.
The FIA’s vigilance at airports and border crossings plays a crucial role in curbing human trafficking, preventing illegal migration, and ensuring the safety of national borders. Authorities are also looking into whether Bhatti was part of a larger network involved in document forgery and trafficking.
