Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, widely known as the ‘messiah of the helpless’ for his humanitarian work, is now embroiled in legal challenges after being linked to a $12,000 (INR 10 lakh) fraud case. An arrest warrant has been issued for the actor in Ludhiana, Punjab, as part of an ongoing investigation into the matter.
The case revolves around a financial fraud complaint filed by Rajesh Khanna, a Ludhiana-based lawyer, who claims he was duped into investing in a fraudulent scheme. The main accused, Mohit Shukla, allegedly deceived Khanna into making investments in the bogus scheme, and Sonu Sood has been indirectly implicated in the case.

Sood failed to appear in court despite being summoned, leading to the issuance of the arrest warrant. The actor is now required to face the charges, with the next hearing scheduled for February 10.
This legal development has garnered significant media attention due to Sonu Sood’s earlier widespread recognition for his philanthropic efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. He had won the hearts of millions by helping migrant workers and others in need during the crisis.
As the investigation continues, the upcoming court hearing will likely shed more light on the case and could determine the actor’s legal standing.
