In a tragic accident, three young men lost their lives when a speeding dumper ran over their motorcycle in Karachi. The incident occurred as the victims were riding near Korangi Crossing, heading from Ibrahim Hyderi. The dumper, reportedly speeding on the wrong side of the road, struck the motorcycle in broad daylight, according to eyewitness accounts.
The bodies were immediately transported to Jinnah Hospital while the dumper driver fled the scene. Enraged citizens reacted by setting the dumper on fire before police arrived at the location. A heavy police presence was deployed to disperse the crowd, and efforts are underway to track down the driver.

This incident highlights the ongoing issue of reckless driving by dumper drivers in Karachi, with heavy vehicles defying government regulations and continuing to operate dangerously during the day. The lack of enforcement has led to a surge in fatal accidents on the city’s streets.
In a separate but similar accident earlier in the week, police arrested the driver responsible for another fatal dumper accident in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar area. That incident, which occurred on February 5th, involved a high-speed dumper crashing into three motorcycles and two cars, killing three people, including a woman. The driver, Mawaz Khan, was traced and arrested using modern technology, and a case has been registered.
Police continue to crack down on reckless driving by heavy vehicles, but the growing number of such accidents has prompted calls for stricter measures to ensure the safety of citizens.
