The weather across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) remains cold and dry, with temperatures plummeting to as low as -3°C in certain areas, as per the Meteorological Department.
Forecasts suggest that most of the province will continue to experience chilly and arid conditions in the coming days, with partial cloudiness expected over Chitral, Dir, and Swat, according to Express News. Light morning fog may also be observed in these regions.

Peshawar, the provincial capital, recorded a temperature of 6°C, while Parachinar registered the lowest temperature at -3°C. Likewise, Malam Jabba and Kalam saw temperatures fall to -2°C, whereas Chitral Drosh recorded zero degrees Celsius.
Several other areas also reported subzero conditions, including Lower Chitral at 2°C, Dir at 4°C, and Dera Ismail Khan at 9°C.
The cold intensified across K-P yesterday, with multiple districts receiving rainfall and upper regions witnessing heavy snowfall, with accumulations reaching up to 17 inches in some places. The persistent temperature decline has added to the hardships of residents.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain and snowfall are expected to continue in various districts, including Upper and Lower Chitral, Upper and Lower Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Khyber, and Kurram. Most areas in the province are expected to remain cold and partly cloudy.
Precipitation was recorded in Chitral, Kohistan, Bajaur, Dir, and Swat, while snowfall blanketed the mountainous regions of Chitral and Swat. The highest snowfall accumulation was reported in Kalam, which received 17 inches. Malam Jabba saw two inches of snow, while Chitral recorded one inch.
Additionally, temperatures continued to drop, with Parachinar reaching -4°C, Malam Jabba -2°C, and Kalam -1°C. Authorities have urged residents of the affected regions to take necessary precautions as more rain and snowfall are expected in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Punjab is predicted to experience dry and sunny weather over the next three days, with no rainfall expected, as per the Meteorological Department. Mornings will remain cool, but afternoons will be relatively mild across most areas.
Murree is forecasted to be the coldest location, with nighttime temperatures falling to -2°C and humidity levels at 57%. Major cities such as Lahore, Faisalabad, and Multan will see minimum temperatures between 8°C and 11°C.
In southern Punjab, Bahawalpur will record the highest humidity at 94%, with temperatures ranging between 8°C and 11°C. Dera Ghazi Khan and Multan will experience similar conditions, with daytime highs reaching 10°C.
Rawalpindi, Attock, and Chakwal will have cooler mornings, with temperatures fluctuating between 5°C and 7°C, while Jhelum and Sargodha will witness slightly warmer conditions, with lows between 8°C and 10°C.
The Met Office forecasts clear skies across all major cities, with no significant changes expected in weather patterns until Friday. Residents should anticipate dry conditions, cool mornings, and sunny afternoons.
