Shakira Hospitalized, Forced to Cancel Peru Concert

Global pop sensation Shakira has been hospitalized due to an abdominal issue, leading to the cancellation of her much-anticipated concert in Peru.

Currently on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour, the singer took to Instagram to share the unfortunate news with her fans.

In an Instagram story, she wrote, โ€œI regret to inform you that I had to visit the ER last night due to an abdominal problem and have since been hospitalized.โ€

Shakira further explained that medical professionals advised her not to perform at Limaโ€™s National Stadium, as her health was not in a suitable condition for the show.

Expressing her disappointment, she added, โ€œI am heartbroken that I wonโ€™t be able to perform today,โ€ highlighting how excited she was to be on stage in Peru.

Despite the setback, the singer reassured her fans that efforts are being made to reschedule the concert. โ€œThe team is already working on setting a new date,โ€ she confirmed, signing off with her signature โ€œShak.โ€

While she has not provided additional details regarding her condition, the news comes just days after she launched her tour in Rio de Janeiro on February 11.

Shakiraโ€™s Recent Grammy Achievement

Shakiraโ€™s latest album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, has been a tremendous success, recently earning her a Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.

During her acceptance speech, she dedicated the award to โ€œall my immigrant brothers and sistersโ€ and to โ€œthe hardworking women striving every day to support their families.โ€
