Imam-ul-Haq Set To Join Pakistan Squad Ahead Of Crucial India Clash

Imam-ul-Haq has received his Dubai visa and is set to join Pakistan’s squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 today. The left-handed batsman will depart from Lahore on AirBlue flight PA410 at 1 PM and link up with the team in time for their high-stakes match against India on February 23 at the Dubai International Stadium.

Imam was added to the squad as a replacement for Fakhar Zaman, who was ruled out due to an injury. The 28-year-old last featured for Pakistan in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 against South Africa and has an impressive record of 3,138 runs in 72 ODIs, including nine centuries and 20 half-centuries.

The Pakistan squad, which had already traveled to Dubai on Thursday, is scheduled to hold a training session today to prepare for their upcoming encounter. After a 60-run loss to New Zealand in their opening game, Pakistan will be keen to make a strong comeback in their second match of the tournament.

Following their game against India, Pakistan will return home to face Bangladesh in Rawalpindi on February 27 as part of their Champions Trophy campaign.
