Virat Kohli has surpassed Mohammad Azharuddin to become India’s most successful fielder in ODIs, claiming his 157th catch during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

He reached the milestone by catching Naseem Shah off Kuldeep Yadav and later took another catch to dismiss Khushdil Shah, bringing his tally to 158 catches in 299 ODIs.
Kohli now ranks third globally, behind Mahela Jayawardene (218) and Ricky Ponting (160).
