Seven Terrorists Killed in Dera Ismail Khan Operations

Security forces successfully eliminated seven terrorists in two separate encounters in the Dera Ismail Khan district, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The engagements targeted members of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), referred to as Khwarij by the authorities, in the Daraban and Maddi areas of the district.

The ISPR detailed that the first encounter occurred in the Daraban area after an intelligence-based operation was launched. “Our troops effectively engaged the Khwarij’s location, resulting in four of them being sent to hell,” the statement noted. Weapons and ammunition were recovered during the operation.

A second encounter took place in the Maddi area, where three more terrorists were neutralized. “Our troops effectively neutralized three Khwarij who were actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the region,” the ISPR added. Following the encounters, security forces began conducting sanitization operations to ensure no remaining terrorists were in the area.

President Asif Ali Zardari praised the bravery of the security forces, commending them for their successful operations in eliminating the terrorists. He reaffirmed the country’s resolve to continue fighting terrorism until it is completely eradicated.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also lauded the efforts of the security forces, emphasizing that the fight against terrorism will continue. “The nefarious designs of these enemies of humanity will be crushed,” he said, reinforcing the government’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in the region.
