Oscar-winning director Bong Joon Ho returns with Mickey 17, a sci-fi film starring Robert Pattinson as an “expendable” tasked with repeatedly dying and regenerating while colonizing a distant planet.

Bong, known for blending genres, said, “I haven’t known any other way to make movies.” Actress Toni Collette added, “Life is not one genre, so why aren’t our stories everything?”
The film explores themes of identity and replaceability in modern society, resonating with young audiences. Mickey 17 is Bong’s first film since Parasite and is based on Edward Ashton’s novel.
