Security forces repelled a terrorist attack on Bannu Cantonment, killing 16 militants, including four suicide bombers. Five soldiers embraced martyrdom in the operation, while 13 civilians lost their lives and 32 others were injured.

According to ISPR, Afghan nationals were involved in the attack, which was orchestrated from across the border. Pakistan has urged Afghanistan to prevent its soil from being used for terrorism.
President Zardari and PM Shehbaz condemned the attack, praising security forces for their swift response.
