Audi has officially introduced the all-new 2025 A6 Avant, and unlike many recent vehicle launches, it continues to offer both petrol and diesel variants instead of transitioning to an all-electric lineup.
The redesigned model boasts a refreshed exterior, upgraded technology, and improved driving performance.

Engine Options
For the UK market, the A6 Avant will come with two engine choices:
- 2.0L Turbocharged Petrol (FWD) – Producing 261 hp and 340 Nm of torque.
- 2.0L Turbocharged Diesel (AWD) – Delivering 335 hp and 400 Nm of torque, equipped with a 48V mild hybrid system.
Both versions feature an eight-speed automatic transmission, ensuring a seamless driving experience.
Interior & Technology
Audi has revamped the cabin with state-of-the-art digital enhancements, including:
- A panoramic driver’s display integrated with an infotainment touchscreen.
- An optional passenger display for added convenience.
- Standard ambient lighting for a premium feel.
- A massive panoramic sunroof with switchable elements.
- Adaptive cruise control for enhanced safety.
- 360° parking cameras and Park Assist Plus, enabling self-parking.
Practicality & Comfort
While the A6 Avant maintains its signature comfort, the boot space has slightly decreased:
- 503 litres for the petrol version.
- 466 litres for the diesel version.
To enhance convenience, an electric boot lid with a kick-to-open feature now comes as standard.
The Future of the RS6
Audi has confirmed that a new RS6 is under development, expected to feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Reports suggest it could house a 4.0L twin-turbo V8, producing up to 660 hp with hybrid assistance.
Pricing & Availability
The 2025 Audi A6 Avant will be available for purchase starting April 1st, with the petrol-powered front-wheel-drive model priced at approximately $645,000 in international markets.
Additionally, Audi has fine-tuned its ride quality, making it 30% quieter than its predecessor and introducing a brake-by-wire system for a more natural braking experience.
