Amid the controversy, YouTuber and scholar Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza addressed the issue during a religious TV show. He strongly condemned the kiss, stating that it was not appropriate for Gohar Rasheed to publicly express affection towards his wife in the outer courtyard of Masjid al-Haram. According to him, intimate moments between spouses should remain private, especially in such a revered location.

Mirza also questioned the broader implications of allowing public displays of affection in holy places, warning that such actions could set a precedent for more extreme behavior in the future. He urged those defending the couple’s actions to reflect on the matter through the lens of Islamic teachings, emphasizing that the Quran and Sunnah place great importance on modesty and a woman’s dignity.

He further reiterated that Islamic teachings provide clear guidelines on modesty, urging couples to respect privacy in their intimate interactions, particularly in sacred spaces.
