A tragic incident occurred at Lahore’s Gangaram Hospital, where an infant girl suffered severe burns due to an alleged case of medical negligence, as reported by News Guru.
According to details, the baby was placed in an incubator that malfunctioned, causing a dangerous temperature increase. As a result, the infant sustained serious burns, which the hospital staff allegedly failed to prevent due to their negligence.

The baby’s father, Rafaqat Ali, accused the hospital staff of irresponsibility and uncooperative behavior when he inquired about the incident. He claimed that the staff was rude and even forced him out of the nursery instead of addressing his concerns.
Seeking justice, the father has appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to launch an investigation into the incident and take strict action against those responsible for the negligence.
Notably, a similar tragedy occurred in 2023 at Lahore’s Children’s Hospital, where an infant lost their life after suffering burns due to an overheated incubator. The negligence of doctors, nurses, and medical staff was blamed for the incident.
Following that case, the then Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, visited the hospital, received a briefing, and ordered an investigation. A four-member committee was also established to determine the cause of the tragedy.
