Sindh Government Launches Scholarship and Job Portal Initiatives for Minority and Youth Empowerment

The Sindh government has introduced a scholarship programme aimed at supporting thousands of students from minority communities, providing much-needed assistance for their education. According to the provincial minority affairs department, eligible students must have achieved at least 50% marks in their previous year’s exams and must belong to minority communities residing in Sindh.

The scholarship is reserved for students from low-income families, with a household income of Rs35,000 or less per month. Each selected student will receive a grant of Rs25,000, offering vital financial relief to further their education. This initiative reflects the provincial government’s commitment to inclusive education and supporting underprivileged groups.

In addition to the scholarship, the Sindh government also launched a new job portal aimed at providing employment opportunities. The portal is designed to help both educated individuals and skilled workers find jobs, with listings from both the government and private sectors. The platform allows users to upload their CVs, offering a streamlined approach for job seekers.

The launch ceremony was attended by notable figures, including Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. Memon highlighted that 65% of Pakistan’s population consists of youth, and this initiative is a step towards addressing their employment needs.

By offering both education support and employment opportunities, these initiatives mark significant steps toward empowering minority communities and the youth of Sindh.
