Punjab Police announced on Sunday that over 47,000 personnel will be deployed across the province during the Eidul Fitr holidays to ensure security.

More than 29,000 Eid gatherings will be monitored, with CCTV surveillance at mosques, imambargahs, markets, and key locations. Over 21,000 officers, including women, will also be stationed at busy areas on Eid eve.
Authorities warned against one-wheeling, aerial firing, and hooliganism, with strict action planned. In Islamabad, over 3,500 police personnel and 500 traffic officials will oversee security and traffic management.
