Tragic Gas Cylinder Explosion in Gujranwala Claims Six Lives

The death toll from a devastating gas cylinder explosion in Gujranwala’s Mafi Wala area has climbed to six, as two more victims succumbed to their injuries, according to family members.

The tragic incident, which took place a week ago, was triggered by a gas leak, resulting in a powerful explosion followed by a fire that engulfed the house.

Rescue officials reported that nine members of the same family suffered severe burns in the explosion. The deceased include three children and three women: Javeria (6), Meerab (3), Owais (2), Amber (27), Insa (26), and Fahmida (50). All injured individuals were receiving treatment at a hospital in Lahore, but despite medical efforts, six have now passed away.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz extended her heartfelt condolences to the grieving family, assuring them of government support during this difficult time.

The incident has deeply shaken the local community, leaving residents in mourning. Authorities have urged the public to adopt strict safety precautions to prevent such tragedies, highlighting the dangers of gas leaks and improper cylinder handling.
