Noorani Claims Fawad Chaudhry Acts as a ‘Frontman’ for Intelligence Agencies in Politics

Journalist Ahmed Noorani made bold accusations about former information minister Fawad Chaudhry in his vlog, claiming that Chaudhry had been working with intelligence agencies. Noorani, based in the US, stated that many of Imran Khan’s close associates not only collaborated with these agencies but also remained loyal to former politician Jahangir Tareen.

He argued that Fawad Chaudhry’s political journey had been shaped by interference from powerful figures, as he consistently followed the directions of those who controlled his actions when making political decisions.

Noorani revealed that Fawad’s ties with intelligence agencies began during his time with Tareen’s team and that his loyalty still primarily lies with Tareen. He further stated that Fawad had joined Tareen’s political group at the behest of his ‘handlers,’ maintaining that his allegiance remains firmly with Tareen.

The journalist also discussed Fawad Chaudhry’s arrest on May 10, 2025, following serious allegations against him. According to Noorani, the arrest was not a mere political move but part of a well-orchestrated plan. He emphasized that the process seemed scripted, with no physical force used, suggesting the arrest was entirely planned in advance.

Noorani highlighted the fluid nature of political loyalties in Pakistan, pointing to Fawad Chaudhry as a prime example of politicians who shift their allegiances based on changing interests and institutional pressures. He concluded by noting that figures like Fawad Chaudhry constantly adjust their strategies to benefit from these influences.
