CTD Arrests Terrorists Badal Singh and Suraj Singh with Explosives in Rawalpindi

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has conducted 189 intelligence-based operations across various cities in Punjab, leading to the arrest of 10 suspected terrorists, as reported by official sources.

Among the detained individuals are two prominent terrorists, Badal Singh and Suraj Singh, who were captured in Rawalpindi, with explosives recovered from their possession. The suspects are believed to be from Nankana Sahib. These operations took place in cities such as Lahore, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, and Jhelum.

In addition, CTD carried out 2,053 combing operations this week, resulting in the arrest of 263 individuals. Over 82,000 people were questioned during these operations.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, spoke in Nankana Sahib, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to peace and the protection of religious minorities. He assured that the rights of Sikh and Hindu communities are safeguarded.

The government is constructing 100 international-standard rooms at Gurdwara Janam Asthan to accommodate Sikh pilgrims, and a monthly stipend is being provided to 10,000 children from these communities.

Additionally, efforts to restore gurdwaras across the country are underway, with the restoration of Gurdwara Bhai Joga Singh set to begin soon.
