Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir’s Address at the First Overseas Pakistanis Convention

“Today, I am deeply moved by the emotions of overseas Pakistanis, and I assure you that our feelings for you are even stronger,” said the Army Chief. You are not just ambassadors of Pakistan; you are the light of Pakistan that shines across the entire world,” he added. Those who promote the narrative of brain drain should know that this is not a brain drain, but a brain gain—and overseas Pakistanis are the finest example of it.”

“You all have to pass on Pakistan’s story to the next generation—the story upon which our forefathers founded this country.” Do Pakistan’s enemies really believe that a handful of terrorists can decide the fate of this nation?” Even ten generations of terrorists cannot harm Balochistan or Pakistan. Balochistan is the crown jewel of Pakistan’s destiny.”

“As long as the brave people of this country stand with the Pakistan Armed Forces, your army can overcome any challenge with ease.”

“Allah Almighty has blessed Pakistan with immense resources, and we must be grateful for that at all times.”

“Today, together, we are sending a clear message: whoever stands in the way of Pakistan’s progress, we will remove that obstacle—together.”

Addressing overseas Pakistanis, the Army Chief said, “No matter which country you reside in, always remember that your heritage stems from a noble society, ideology, and civilization.”

“As Muslims and Pakistanis, we do not fear adversity. We have never bowed before hardships, nor will we ever do so.”

“As long as the brave people of this country stand with the Pakistan Armed Forces, no harm can come to Pakistan.”

“The nation holds its martyrs in the highest esteem. Their sacrifices are eternal, and we will never let them be in vain.”

“We want to take Pakistan to the place envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam.”

“Always hold your head high with pride, because you don’t belong to an ordinary country—you are representatives of a great and powerful nation.”

At the conclusion of his address, the Army Chief and the participants chanted together: “Pakistan Zindabad (Long Live Pakistan)!”
