Army Chief Reaffirms Commitment To Defend Pakistan’s Foundations

Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has asserted that the military stands fully ready to defend the sacrifices made by the nation’s forefathers. Speaking at a passing out parade at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul, he emphasised the distinct identity of Muslims and reiterated the importance of the two-nation theory.

General Munir stated that Pakistan’s creation came through an unparalleled struggle, and safeguarding its sovereignty remains the army’s foremost duty. “Our forefathers gave immense sacrifices for the creation of Pakistan. We know how to defend it,” he said.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the ceremony, criticising India’s blame game following the Pahalgam attack. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s willingness to participate in a neutral and transparent investigation while warning against any attempts to tamper with Pakistan’s share of water under the Indus Waters Treaty.

The leadership also highlighted Pakistan’s heavy sacrifices in the global war on terror, underlining the country’s resilience and commitment to peace and national sovereignty.
