Attaullah Tarar Takes Journalists to LoC to Expose India's False Claims

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar led a group of both local and international journalists to the Line of Control (LoC) on Monday to challenge what he called India’s “false propaganda” about supposed terrorist camps along the border.

Organized by the Ministry of Information, the visit aimed to showcase the actual situation on the ground, contrasting it with India’s repeated claims. The journalists were shown areas that India had previously identified as alleged militant strongholds.

Tarar stated that the locations India labeled as terrorist camps were, in fact, residential areas inhabited by ordinary civilians. He emphasized that the global media had the chance to witness the truth firsthand and interact with the local people directly impacted by these false accusations.

He stressed that the visit’s goal was to expose India’s fabricated claims and reaffirm Pakistan’s commitment to regional and global peace. Tarar rejected terrorism in all forms, highlighting Pakistan’s consistent actions toward promoting peace.

The minister also warned India to stop making unfounded allegations and to address its own human rights abuses in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), pointing out that India’s propaganda at the LoC was an attempt to divert attention from domestic issues.

Tarar reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to protect its sovereignty, warning that any aggression from India would be met with a strong and appropriate response. The visit comes amid heightened tensions between the two countries, with Pakistan accusing India of creating a false narrative to harm its international image. Tarar emphasized that such visits would continue to promote transparency and counter misinformation.
