Pakistani actor Maryam Nafees isn’t holding back when it comes to calling out inappropriate questions. During a recent Instagram Q&A, a follower asked when she planned to have a second child — and she clapped back instantly with, “Are you a midwife?”
Nafees used the moment to highlight how common and unacceptable such questions have become. “It’s unbelievable the amount of people asking this question,” she said, urging society to stop treating women’s reproductive choices as public property.

Her response sparked support online, with fans applauding her bold stance against societal pressure and the double standards faced by women. Many praised her for reminding people that questions about family planning are personal and often intrusive.
Maryam, who welcomed her son Eesa in March with husband Amaan Ahmed, has been vocal about gender equality. She previously stated that curfews and social expectations should apply equally to both sons and daughters to build a safer society.
