Lahore Board Confirms Resumption of Exams From May 8

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has confirmed that the postponed Intermediate Part-II theory papers and matric practical examinations will resume from May 8 according to the original date sheet. This decision comes after a brief suspension of papers scheduled for May 7 due to security concerns stemming from regional tensions between Pakistan and India.

In an official circular released on Tuesday, BISE Lahore clarified that all remaining exams will continue as per schedule, with no changes in examination centres or timings. The board emphasized that students must appear at their designated centres as mentioned on their roll number slips to ensure a smooth examination process.

On May 8, the Intermediate theory exams will include Chemistry, Geology, and Health & Physical Education in the morning, while Chemistry, Statistics, and Library Science papers will be held in the evening session. Practical exams in Biology, Computer Science, and Food and Nutrition for matric students will also proceed on the same day as originally planned.

The board also reassured students and parents that a revised schedule for the postponed May 7 papers will be announced later. BISE Lahore reaffirmed its commitment to conducting all exams safely and without further disruption, despite the recent uncertainties.
