In her statement, Marriott noted that the UK government is closely watching the situation, particularly the impact on regional air travel. She highlighted that airspace closures are currently in effect, with potential for sudden changes or new restrictions.

British citizens in Pakistan were urged to remain updated by subscribing to travel alerts via the official UK government travel advisory portal. Her warning follows growing hostilities between the neighboring nations, marked by cyberattacks and military confrontations, which have already disrupted air traffic and led to flight delays and rerouting.
The High Commissioner’s office emphasized the importance of staying alert amid shifting security conditions. The UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) also reiterated the need for British nationals to monitor travel updates and be ready for abrupt changes in airspace policies.
