Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared Sunday a national day of thanksgiving to mark Pakistan’s success in Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, citing the country’s unified and strategic response to Indian aggression.
The day is being observed to express gratitude to Allah, honor the armed forces’ bravery, and recognize national unity in defending Pakistan. “We bow our heads in gratitude before Allah Almighty for this victory,” the prime minister stated.

PM Shehbaz emphasized the armed forces’ restraint and preparedness, describing the response as “firm yet responsible.” He also urged collective prayers, especially by religious scholars, for martyrs and veterans.
“The sacrifices of our armed forces can never be forgotten,” he concluded, reaffirming national solidarity.
