Pakistan-Bangladesh Ties Poised for Growth, Says Dhaka Envoy

Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Iqbal Hossain Khan, expressed hope for deepening bilateral ties during a visit to Lahore, noting the warm reception he and his delegation received. Speaking at the Lahore Press Club, he highlighted progress in various sectors including trade, culture, and sports.

Khan emphasized the shared interest of both nations in improving relations and called for continued cooperation. “Our relationship will continue to grow stronger,” he said, reflecting optimism for the future.

He also proposed collaboration between the two countries’ film industries, citing Pakistan’s diverse landscapes as an ideal setting for joint productions. “This country has mountains, deserts, and plains — it’s a land of great diversity,” he remarked.

The envoy announced that direct flights between Pakistan and Bangladesh would begin soon, a move expected to boost people-to-people contact and ease travel for students and professionals alike.
