Two Police Officers Injured in Attack on Swabi Police Station

Gunmen attacked the Utla Police Station in Swabi on Thursday, injuring two police officers, according to the Station House Officer (SHO) of Utla. The police retaliated with gunfire, and reinforcements have been sent to the scene, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) confirmed. The gun battle between the assailants and police is still ongoing.

In a separate incident on Friday, a Levies officer was killed amid heavy gunfire and explosions by unidentified militants in the Mangchar area of Balochistan’s Kalat district, disrupting daily life and traffic on the Quetta-Karachi national highway.

Levies officials reported that the attackers carried out a coordinated assault across several locations in Mangchar, including an attack on a Levies post in Kot Langove, where the officer was fatally wounded. His body was transferred to the Rural Health Centre (RHC) in Mangchar.

At the same time, a powerful blast occurred under a bridge on the national highway near Rahimabad, Mangchar. While the explosion caused minor damage to the bridge structure, no casualties were reported.
