Pakistan has acknowledged the significant role played by former US President Donald Trump in promoting a ceasefire between Pakistan and India.
In an interview with a British TV channel, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar, reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to maintaining a permanent ceasefire with India.

Iftikhar highlighted that the Kashmir conflict remains a key unresolved issue between the two countries, stressing that its resolution should reflect the will of the Kashmiri people.
He added that a fair settlement of the Kashmir dispute is crucial for lasting peace in the South Asian region.
