Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui has slammed veteran Indian lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar for his recent anti-Pakistan remark, calling him an “educated fool” in response. The statement has stirred reactions across social media platforms in both countries.

Javed Akhtar made the controversial remark during the launch of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut’s book Narkatla Swarg in Mumbai. While reflecting on criticism he receives from both Indian and Pakistani audiences, Akhtar stated, “If I only have a choice of going either to hell or to Pakistan, I would rather like to go to hell.”

Adnan Siddiqui, known for his roles in both Pakistani dramas and Indian films, responded through his Instagram stories. Without naming Akhtar directly, he wrote, “There’s a well-known proverb: An Educated Fool.” His post quickly gained traction, with supporters praising his bold stance and critics accusing him of fueling tensions.
