Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has taken legal action against veteran actor Paresh Rawal, filing a $3 million lawsuit for abruptly exiting Hera Pheri 3 during production.
The suit, filed by Kumar’s production house Cape of Good Films, alleges Rawal breached a formal agreement and walked out without valid justification. The move reportedly caused financial losses and disrupted the film’s promotional strategy, which had already featured Rawal alongside Kumar and Suniel Shetty.

Insiders claim Rawal attended multiple creative sessions and received a high compensation package, making his sudden departure even more surprising. While Rawal confirmed his exit on social media, he denied creative differences as the cause. Industry sources say he allegedly stated he “didn’t feel like” continuing.
Producers say they tried resolving the issue privately but resorted to legal action after failed negotiations. Fans of the franchise, eager for a full reunion of the original trio, are dismayed by the off-screen conflict.
