On Saturday, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced that fares for metro and electric buses in Islamabad will be increased by 100%, effective from May 26.
The one-way ticket price has been raised from Rs 50 to Rs 100 for all metro and electric bus services.

Similarly, the stop-to-stop fare on buses under CDA’s control has also been doubled to Rs 100.
These metro and feeder bus services cover 17 routes across Islamabad, serving over 90,000 passengers each day, who are likely to feel the impact of this fare hike on their daily travel.
